How do I download content to my local device or PC?

To download a file to your local device or PC (even a file another person shared with you), follow these steps:

Click the file you want to download to view its preview

Click the overflow menu button and click “Export to Downloads”

Open a Finder window and navigate to the default downloads directory (~/Downloads/) to view the downloaded file

Click "Save to" in the upper right corner and choose a destination to save it

Open a Windows Explorer window and navigate to the directory where you saved the file to view it

Tap the file you want to download to view its preview

Tap the overflow menu button and tap “Export” — the iOS Share Sheet appears

Tap “Save Image” or “Save Video” in the iOS Share Sheet to save the file to your iOS device. Open the iOS Photos app to view the downloaded file.

To download a document that isn't a photo or video, follow steps 1 & 2 above, then tap “Mail” in the iOS Share Sheet. Email the file to yourself and download it manually from your email app.

Your downloads will be saved in your Gallery app — you'll find them in a folder named "Upthere Home" alongside directories like "Camera", "Screenshots", "Movies", etc.
