How do I download content to my local device or PC?

To download a file to your local device or PC (even a file another person shared with you), follow these steps:

Click the file you want to download to view its preview

Click the overflow menu button and click “Export to Downloads”

Open a Finder window and navigate to the default downloads directory (~/Downloads/) to view the downloaded file

Click "Save to" in the upper right corner and choose a destination to save it

Open a Windows Explorer window and navigate to the directory where you saved the file to view it

Tap the overflow menu button and tap “Export” — the iOS Share Sheet appears

Tap "Copy to Upthere Home" to download any document type to iOS's Files app. Alternately, you can download photos & videos to iOS's Photos app by tapping “Save Image" or "Save Video”. Open iOS's Photos app or Files app to view the downloaded file.

Your downloads will be saved in your Gallery app — you'll find them in a folder named "Upthere Home" alongside directories like "Camera", "Screenshots", "Movies", etc.
