What does the retirement of Upthere and SanDisk Cloud mean for me?

On September 4, 2019, we announced the retirement of the Upthere and SanDisk Cloud services planned for March 3, 2020. Included below are common questions and answers.

In light of this decision, we have stopped accepting new user registrations and have removed our mobile apps from the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store. For existing users, you can continue to use the service, mobile apps and web apps until March 2, 2020. On March 3, 2020, the service will no longer be available and content associated with your account will be deleted.

We have decided to retire the Upthere and SanDisk Cloud services based on their declining popularity and usage, and aging mobile applications. Instead, we are committed to delivering new products and services that better fit our users’ needs.
Your personal and shared content will be available to download until March 2, 2020. On March 3, 2020, all user content associated with your Upthere or SanDisk Cloud account will be deleted from our systems.
How can I get my content back?
By the end of October, we will release a new download tool to help you get your content. We will be providing more information about the release of the download tool via email and updates to this FAQ page. We'll also provide options for migrating to different services.
